A Slow relaxing day....for some of us!!

Brad decided that today he would try digging down by our crab pot in front of Ocean's Reach so we went long before the low tide to see if we could find it.  I was very surprised that we found an area of pen shells pretty quickly.  He and Jess worked most of the early afternoon digging through them.  I gave up pretty quickly because the Gulf was pretty rough today and the winds continued to blow from the Gulf, keeping it stirred up.

 While digging Jess ran across this Calico Crab, and he was very interested in getting back into the Gulf, but not before a photo op!!

 One of the first things Jess found was this huge Horse Conch.....

 ...but it wasn't all there!!

There were absolutely Billions of Coquina working the edge of the waves!

I stayed with them for a little while, then headed back home and enjoyed watching the angry Gulf from a distance.

Hubby enjoyed it too, sitting under an umbrella and then with Lily watching from our deck!

Brad's persistance paid off though, he and Jess brought home quite the bounty!!

Brad has always loved the Nutmegs!!

Hubby and I came back empty handed, which is fine since we already have so many shells.  

We cooked a pot roast for supper tonight with all the veggies, so we stayed in our bathing suits and comfortable all day!! It was really nice! This might become a tradition down here!!  More tomorrow!!
