Just Little Bits and Pieces...

We're back home in paradise! I've only been out shelling a couple of evenings....tides aren't great, shelling is so-so but the Beach Therapy is always fantastic! Hopefully the shelling will improve over the next few days with the tides. I prefer early shelling, but Low tides are in the evening this week....

I decided to try a beach I've never shelled before, Tarpon Bay....it's about mid way on the island...just never tried it! It started out with just pieces.... Pretty True tulip....
Almost a complete Flat (or ZigZag) Scallop...
...and Woe is me....an Alphabet Cone piece...
I also found a little orange....scallops that is...

Believe it or not, nothing else....but I enjoyed the walk....will definitely try it again...there are obviously treasures possible!

I left there and headed to my old standby...the Lighthouse....you can always find minis there! I posted this so you can do some 'cybershelling'....I took this pic, knowing there is a Wentletrap in it, when you click to enlarge it, you will see at least 2 Wentles in it....missed the second! .....oh well! Can you find....a tiny Lace Murex? Slippers? Tiny Fighting conchs? Coquina pairs? What else did you find?

I found a small Baby's Ear also...I love these guys and am always happy when I find them!

The water was in okay shape, though a little bit cloudy...
Look closely here....do you see the Wentle?

I also found this Awesome Coffee Melampus....
Though, still small, the biggest I have found...and it's in Great shape!
I walked back along the upper high tide line and found a few Sand dollars that had dried out...this one had part of his jaw exposed....see it?

They normally break apart and become the little 'doves' that you get with sandollars....

I picked up a few minis the last couple of days....I always am happy to find the Wentletraps....

Walking back I watched these two for a while....the Pelican was fishing...and was being successful....the seagull, just wouldn't leave him alone, was going to do all he could to sneak himself a snack....this time he stayed hungry....Mr. Pelican wasn't sharing!
When they saw me watching....the seagull started acting all nonchalant!

Like I said....Great Beach Therapy...I love this place!....Stay tuned!
