I've got Spring Fever!!

 It's spring fever.  That is what the name of it is.  And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!  ~Mark Twain

I've got Spring Fever!! I guess that is what it is, I am sorta in limbo.... I find myself looking outside a lot at birds, gardens, flowers and just looking....

These last couple of weeks have been pretty eventful outside our windows, though the cold nights and cooler days are persistant! We've had 2 new kinds of ducks in our ponds, I couldn't get very close so I had to rely on my digital zoom which makes the pictures much less clear, so I apologize for the quality!!

These are diving ducks and they have a stay under for a long time!! This is the first time I have ever seen them in our pond.  We also had this guy there the day before!
I believe he is called a Scaup!!

He is also a diving duck! So apparently there has been a lot of talk at the Duck gathering about something they like under the surface and the cousins of our local ducks are checking things out!

These are our resident ducks, we should be seeing babies around here soon!!

This guy has become a regular, he is a 'fisher' he makes all kinds of racket and dives down from a tree to the surface of the pond!

The gardens are beginning to show signs of life also, and I am glad!! I think about our daughter Jess when the blooming starts, we used to spend the springtime planting new bulbs and I would send her pics when she was in the dorms at Virginia Tech. She always seemed to look forward to those pictures of spring since we have it here several weeks before they do in the Mountains!!  So these are for you Jess, enjoy!!  Not much up yet, but it's starting!!

Jonquils are about to pop open!!
Lily had surgery this Tuesday to have her 'transmission' removed.  I have had the privilege of staying home with her to keep her quiet and resting.  She's doing great, and quickly wanting to begin doing puppy things!! What a cutie she is!!
On the way to the hospital!! Doesn't she look worried??
After the surgery....she loves the sun!! I think she has Spring Fever too!!

Have a great Weekend!!

::Hugs::
