A New Adventure Begins!

You can’t reach for anything new if your hands are still full of yesterday’s junk  ~Louise  Smith

We arrived today at our wonderful place in Ft. Myers! I have to say, when we 'come home' here, we both feel very much like this is truly home. We still have some things we want to do around here, a few updates and a few more pictures to hang, but it is definitely Home for us, and we can't wait for the day to make it permanent! We got here, quickly unloaded, unpacked and I ran out and picked up a few 'staples' at the grocery store. Then I headed out to Lighthouse beach at Sanibel for a little bit of beach therapy.

I knew the shelling wasn't going to be great because it was High Tide, but I needed to walk along the warm Gulf Beach and just breathe!!

As promised, there were lots of things to see at Lighthouse beach...

A great Egret fishing, and catching all kinds of minnows

I believe this is a mangrove bud....
These little slimy guys were all over the place, I must have thrown dozens back into the water...I think they are sea squirts?? Not really sure, but hopefully I saved a few!
 Sea Pork
There were lots of shells.....I found a couple of key hole limpets, and some tiny scallops, but nothing extraordinary, but like I said, I was there mostly for the therapy! :)
I found this to be particularly interesting.....I was at 0 mile, the beginning of a new adventure in paradise!!
So come along with us and I hope you enjoy this week's adventures and photos!

....and beautiful sunsets!!!

Stay tuned!

  1. Lucky you! Can't wait to see what you do this week. Don't forget to try the donuts at Bennetts Coffee. Did the coupon book arrive?
