Regret for wasted time is more wasted time. ~Mason Cooley
We packed up the car with 2 tables I had been refinishing, (Mom and
Dad’s old dining room table and a shadowbox table my Mom bought us for a house
warming gift). Shadow boxes, Canvas pictures, My seahorse, curtains, new
comforters and various other items, including Lily to take down to our house in
Ft. Myers. The 2 day trip was
pretty uneventful which always is a good thing!!
After unloading the car, we decided to try the Sanibel Fish
House’s other Fish house on Ft. Myer’s Beach. We crossed that amazing teal bridge that you see from
Sanibel onto Ft. Myers Beach….talk about a Beachy place!! It is very much a
resort, not at all like Sanibel, we felt like we had gone to Key West!! There
was all kinds of activity and lots of traffic! We went all the way down the
island , almost to Lover’s Key, but didn’t find the restaurant!! So , since
traffic was so backed up, we parked and walked out to the beach. We could see Sanibel way off in the
distance, it was hard to see much but trees. Hubby immediately found a sand dollar that was not alive,
and we found some minis. We also
found 2 awesome king’s crowns that were alive. Of course I didn’t take a camera since we were just going to
dinner, so you will have to settle for pics taken with my non smartphone, and
hubby took a couple with his blackberry!
We only stayed for a little o ver 30 minutes then headed back in to the
traffic and decided to stop at Publix and pick up some chicken for dinner and
eat at home! (Doesn't that have a nice ring to it?? :D

After we got home and had dinner, we realized
we missed a really low tide out at Sanibel…Geez!! I guess we will have to spend
the next couple of evenings there, because low tide will be after dark by
Tuesday I think!! So much to do, so little time!! J We actually don’t have internet here until Monday, so this
is being typed in Word and I will put it online after we get internet
installed, (or I will cheat and use hubby’s broadband card for a minute or two
to post!)
Just a short update! I will keep you up to date as best I
can!!
